Good clean park on the river. Could use a playground though.
I've been visiting family in Millegeville my entire life. Work prevented me from coming to town the last three years. It's awesome to see that they've utilized the river front in such a cool way. Most of the trails are paved, so they are extremely accessible. There's also ample space for picnics and cookouts. There's even a dog park!
Good place to run or take a stroll through. There is a kayak rental service that will let you go down the river for about 4 miles. Would recommend.
It's an awesome way to spend an afternoon.
The Greenway is a great place to go in Milledgeville. Plenty of easily accessible paved walking trails, viewing points of the river, places to easily swim in the river, 2 dog parks, open fields to play in, trees to tie a hammock to, and picnic tables. It's typically kept very clean. There are also plenty of parking spots. Definitely the place to go if you enjoy being outside. The one downside is a lack of restrooms; there are only porta-potties.
It's just not maintained. There are plenty of trash cans and baggies for pet droppings yet you find trash and dog mess. The board walk close to the river will have boards that rot and fail. It takes sometimes weeks for them to be repaired. Most of the green areas have visible trash, old and new. It could be so much better.
